After backporting the Rails Initializer from Edge to 1.1, I started noticing a whole lot of Edge features I may want in my 1.1.x or 1.2.x apps. In the next week or so, I will be starting the Smarticus Rails Backports project where I will be cherry picking functionality from Edge and other sources and porting it to 1.1.x or 1.2.x.
