Today is patch day, and I started downloading the 2.4 patch. If you are on the Mac, the patch will log a message every 1368 bytes (many many many times a second), which will slow you way down. The simple fix is to kill the syslogd service (“sudo killall syslogd”), and then reboot to start it when the download is done.
