I think everyone who sets up a blog really had good intentions on maintaining it by posting fresh juicy articles about things that interest them and things that interest their readership. I had those hopes when i registered smartic.us a couple of years back.

Lately, I haven’t been in the mood to write. I have plenty of things to write about. I got a new kid and a new gig. I have a couple of projects that I’ve started that I thought I would want to share (but i just haven’t gotten around to it). I have a few rebuttals I want to post about various things I have read over the last month. I have more opinions about how you should be testing, and openings for people to tell me how I should be on testing. I have some thoughts on new ways to deploy applications and potentially new ways to build your production environment.

I also have a few smarticasts that I’ve been sitting on. I have a few on Rails, one on testing, and a bigger one on Textmate. But I can’t bring myself to finish them up and release them.

As a matter of fact, the only thing I’ve done lately is:

Pretty sad.

I know what the problem is; it is the winter blues. Combined with the lack of sleep and my other endeavors, I just haven’t been able (or really had the drive) to keep up with the blog. Hopefully this mini rant will kick my butt back into gear.
