Update 12/26/2008: It appears that Apple has patched their ruby. I’m not sure which vulns have been addressed, but they have worked on it.
I’ve heard it too many times recently:
I use Leopard ruby because macports is broken
Leopard ruby is good enough
macports only installs ruby 1.8.7
blah blah blah…
Unfortunately you are wrong, and I’m gonna show you why.
